The siteworx part of the Vertigraph sounds like it will be really great for visualization. Earthworks is great but the newer pro version requires really good hardware to view all their 3d views.

Just an FYI- ASPE members and other estimators can get a free subscription to Design Cost Data magazine at www.dcd.com.

Comes out 6 times per year and is chuck full of great information.
